and they're off!.. .(again) ...sort of....
Well this is it, we are finally heading for Brisbane tomorrow (Tues 28th 2006).
to start our cycling tour of australia we're jumping on a train for the trip out of the city, destination Philip Island. (we've even had to justify it to ourselves in that the train is to Frankston, the town were we spent out fist night on the tour of Philip Bay)
We're planning to stay on Philip Island for 2 nights so we can watch the Penguin Parade and check out 'Seal Rocks' - apparently a rather large colony of smelly sea pigs live there.

Live the hairdo - actually it's really rather scary compared to your old one! Were you tempted to keep the middle bit? Is it weird knowing what shape your skill is? Have you got sunburn on the white bits that are showing now?
Sounds like you are having a great time, and making the most of the photo opportunities. Show us the birds, and the bronzed talent from the beach! ;-)
Just to put your amazing and very chilled life into context, today we burned paperwork we could not be bothered to shred in Mum & Dad's incinerator bin in the back garden (highlight of the day). Tonight we will be watching Midsummer Murders on the telly. No shorts in sight - it's blooming freezing! I was breaking bits of ice 1/2 inch thick off the surface of the pool to put the fire out. (no end to the small pleasures in life here in old blighty!)
